Event Description:
Al Jardine, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, and best known for being one of the founding members of the California-based group The Beach Boys, will perform two fundraising concerts with his Endless Summer Band on Tuesday Dec 16 and Wednesday Dec 17, 2025, at the intimate Founder’s Theatre of the Golden Bough Playhouse, home of Pacific Repertory Theatre, in the seaside village of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Both concerts begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at the PacRep Box Office, at the Golden Bough Playhouse on Monte Verde Street between 8th & 9th Avenues in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. The Box Office counter is open in-person or by phone, Tues-Sat, 11am-4pm. Call 831-622-0100 or go online at. www.PacRep.org. On December 16, a limited number of post-show meet-and-greet slots with Al Jardine and members of the Endless Summer band are available. An iconic performer and longtime Big Sur resident, Al played mainly rhythm guitar and sang harmony vocals with The Beach Boys and sang lead on their No. 1 hit “Help Me, Rhonda.” In 1988, Al was inducted into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Beach Boys and in 2001, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award Grammy along with the other Beach Boys. In 2010, Al released his first studio album, A Postcard From California, which featured guest appearances from Neil Young, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, Steve Miller, Glen Campbell, Gerry Beckley & Dewey Bunnell (America) and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), plus all the remaining Beach Boys. The environmentally-themed album features Al’s originals “Don’t Fight The Sea,” “Looking Down The Coast” and “San Simeon” in addition to new versions of classic Beach Boys songs “Help Me, Rhonda” and “California Saga.” The album was re-released to a worldwide audience in 2022 from Universal Music. In 2025, Al continues to tour on his own with a setlist that includes all of the classic Beach Boys hits, including “Good Vibrations,” “Help Me, Rhonda,” “California Girls,” “Sloop John B,” “God Only Knows,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice, “Fun Fun Fun” and “Surfin’ USA.” Al also digs deep into some of The Beach Boys late 60‘s and 70’s critically-acclaimed albums with rarities and fan favorites like “Susie Cincinnati,” “She’s Got Rhythm” and “Honkin’ Down The Highway.” Al Jardine’s Endless Summer Band includes Al’s son, Matt Jardine, who has performed for decades with Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys and has received rave reviews for his stunning 60’s Brian Wilson-like lead vocals. Other band members include music director Darian Sahanaja, Debbie Shair, Rob Bonfiglio and Jim Laspesa (all former members of Brian Wilson’s touring band) plus Randell Kirsch, who has performed with Al, The Beach Boys and Jan and Dean for many years and multi-instrumentalist Emeen Zarookian, from Badfinger and The Monkees touring bands.
